    Design

Design is at the heart of what we do at EBY, it’s in our DNA. We began life as a graphic design agency in 2001 and while we now offer a full-service approach to marketing, good design is central to our work. We are just as passionate about creative, innovative design today as we were 20 years ago.

In isolation, design is often focused on the production of a single element, such as a logo, brand, exhibition stands, websites, social media assets or even the humble business card.

But good design does so much more. It allows brands to communicate to potential customers in a way that encourages them to buy a product, choose a service or change their behaviour.

At its core, design is the visual embodiment of any brand. The thought process behind how to design the structure of each element is often the difference between success and failure. Take the design of a website, for example. Having call-to-action buttons in the right place is vital to the successful performance of the site. Or making sure the client’s logo on an exhibition stand is clear and visible to show attendees.

Design brings a brand to life, and we do this for our clients in a variety of different ways. These include:

    Brand designs

These are building blocks that create a brand’s visual identity. It can include logo design, the use of colour, fonts and typefaces, the creation and positioning of the graphic on the page and how imagery is used. Careful consideration of several individual elements is needed to develop the personality and consistency of a brand in the minds of consumers.

    Web design

When creating the visual look and feel of a website or app there is always a balance between creativity and function when meeting a client’s brief. Understanding this balance and drawing on user experience and user interface knowledge is how we deliver the best results.

    Print

Design for print is as important today as it was in years gone by. While print volumes may have declined, the technology and opportunities available to clients are broader than ever. So not only do our designers have to be creative, but they also need to have knowledge of the different options and be able to guide clients to make the best decisions.

    Packaging

Packaging has to be both creative in design and high quality in terms of durability. It has to protect products in transit and then still look good on the shelf.

We have experience designing packaging in sectors as varied as pet food, designer kitchen utensils and FMCG and have secured thousands of additional product sales for businesses.

    Creative design

Whether a campaign requires a single page advert or a series of animated gifs, design for advertising not only has to adhere to a brand’s guidelines, but it also needs to convert. Add to this the interpretation of the creative theme and there are a lot of boxes to tick. From B2B advertising campaigns through to big consumer brands, we’ve delivered thousands of impactful ads.

    Summary

Good design can make all the difference to the success of a business, especially in today’s busy market where everyone is competing for attention and trying to stand out. Design is the essence of a business; the feelings it evokes and the reputation it exudes.

It’s therefore vital to work with an agency that understands every element of design, as this will mean the difference between the success and failure of any creative or marketing campaign. We’ve delivered successful, attention-grabbing designs for more than 20 years, which gives our clients that confidence that our campaigns will work and deliver results, whatever the medium.
